I swear I've allowed ad sense, I disabled Adblock Plus, and allowed all pop-ups from this site, yet it still says that.

The best solution, I found, was to stop visiting the site. It works quite well.

(Well cerendir, that really wasn't helpful.)

Don't bother with AdSense. Just uninstall it. You really don't need it.

Just use another internet browser ("Internet Explorer", "Safari", "Opera", "Mozilla", or my old-time favorite "Netscape Navigator") to browse the sf2midi site and to download the files.

(Is AdSense for Firefox? [I don't really bother with any other browsers.] But if it is for Firefox, then just uninstall it. You really don't need both.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AdSense

Firefox > IE, if you've missed everything happening in the past 10 years.

I know Firefox is better than IE Roll Eyes

He said he was having problems viewing the site using Firefox, so I suggested that he "...use another internet browser... to browse the the sf2midi site and to download files" - just in case you didn't care to read it the first time.

AdSense is not an end-user application.  Web developers use it on their server to integrate ad content into web pages to hopefully make a cent or two.

If you meant to say AdBlock, I can understand you mentioning uninstallation technically, but I can't see you recommending such an action.  The plugin provides whitelist functions for this kind of situation, yet I have not had to use them, despite having filtered GoogleSyndication from the start.

WilliamC, if you ever read this... Are you trying to access the site's downloads through your own network, or one out of your control (at work, through proxy, etc)?

Sorry. But turning a once invaluable community site into an ad-cluttered monstrosity kinda ticked me off. My advice to everyone is, download that huge torrent with all the sf2midi soundfonts instead, and let this mess of a site die. No one's uploading anything useful anymore anyway... gee, I wonder why.

When the site changed, Opera told me they were trying to install something (track cookie?) to spy on me..AARRRGH.  Didn't save the details about it but should have...I agree w Cerender that the site has lost steam..There's no bragging rights!! I get no respect!! LOL Remember when I leached that "Hannabach" guitar from someone's site and got 10,000+ downloads?? Or when I found the SoundSite Album bank from Allanah's midi site and it got 12,000+ downloads??  Or when we stormed that dumb "one file" per registration site and brought back most of the SoundSite GMs back into Public Domain??
Such fun...But now the file totals, the hit counter, a lot has been removed!  In truth, so many of the files in circulation still need volume fixes, noise reduction, tuning, basic editing.  Know we appreciate any work anyone does despite all of these drawbacks!

Grin Angry Sad Shocked Cool Huh Roll Eyes Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin!

I keep a copy of Maxthon browser for those "special times" LOL
